BC Summer Games – “A Great Success for our Community!”

“The Platinum Sponsorship for the 2014 BC Summer Games provided great value for the community and for the Nanaimo Port Authority,” states Mr. Bernie Dumas, President & CEO.

The donation from The Nanaimo Port Authority, as a Platinum level Sponsor, allowed for the successful execution of the sailing event and the opportunity to present gold and silver medals to the winners. Additionally, The Port Authority’s support for every athlete with a games’ pin remains as a reminder of their Nanaimo Games experience and underwrites the value of corporate leadership for the successful execution of the 2014 Games.

Dumas goes on to say: “We were honoured to host a Friends of the Games event at our Cruise Welcome Centre for games dignitaries and sponsors, on behalf of the community. The feedback from attendees was very positive and reflects the warm hospitality that Nanaimo is known for with our cruise passengers and visitors to our beautiful harbour.”
