Nanaimo Port Authority Supports Vancouver Island Symphony's Children Outreach Program

Mr. Bernie Dumas, President & CEO of the Nanaimo Port Authority announces support for the Symphonic Choir Outreach Program with the Vancouver Island Symphony.
Mr. Bob Bennie, Chairman of the Nanaimo Port Authority (far right in picture) is seen with Dino Tsembelis, Community Development Manager of the Vancouver Island Symphony and musicians James Mark, Violin and Andrew Clark - French Horn-Principal. "We are proud of this sponsorship to help create a Grade 5 Symphonic Choir with 90 participants including adults and seniors, who performed at the Port Theatre February 13 and 15." states Bennie.
Margot Holmes, Executive Director, Vancouver Island Symphony (VIS) comments: "On Feb 13, 2300 Grade 4 students from School District 68, 71 from Courtenay & Comox plus 72 from Campbell River saw the My Symphony Show and the VIS Grade 5 Choir performed with the Symphony. Thank you to the Nanaimo Port Authority for their sponsorship of the Symphonic Choir Program allowing both children and adults an opportunity to sing on stage with the Vancouver Island Symphony."
